COURSE INFORMATION & WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Whether you are pouring a stone model or scanning and printing a resin model, the foundation for removable prosthodontics remains the same. The importance of anatomical landmarks and the ability to properly utilize them can make a significant difference between a well-fitting and functional prosthetic and one that is almost useless. In this lecture, we will discuss the key components of model analysis and how to identify and use them correctly. We will cover various methods of custom tray fabrication and how to effectively use different tray designs for other types of impression materials. Analog and digital fabrication of dentures will also be a primary focus; we will examine the advantages and disadvantages of each, and I will gladly share my tips and tricks for both. Without a solid foundation, no structure can be effective. Let's return to the basics and strengthen our foundation like never before.

After completing this program, the dental professional should be able to:

  • Understand custom tray design and impression technique.
  • Gain a better understanding of denture occlusion and the proper way to adjust it.
  • Fix common mistakes in denture fabrication and delivery.
