COURSE INFORMATION & WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Placing and restoring implants has become the most exciting and sought-after aspect of dentistry. Most patients are highly motivated to avoid going toothless or having a removable appliance. However, implant dentistry has its issues. Treating peri-implantitis has become the fastest-growing aspect of the periodontal surgeon’s practice. This course will address the increasingly common problems associated with etiology, placement, restorative, treatment modalities, and prognostication of surgical and non-surgical outcomes.
After completing this program, the dental professional should be able to:
- Understand site development and placement.
- Diagnosing the etiology of peri-implantitis.
- Determining when an explanation is necessary.
- Provide up-to-date, evidence-based treatments for retaining the ailing implant.
