COURSE INFORMATION & WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This panel brings former graduates and faculty back to share real-world insights. These experienced professionals will discuss modern clinical techniques, practice management strategies, and career growth. Attendees will gain real-world clinical tips, practice management advice, direct networking opportunities, and answers to career questions. Panelists will share advice on business management, patient behavior, and workforce challenges. In addition, the panel will provide post-graduation support, bridging the divide between theoretical classroom instruction and the practical realities of modern dental practice. There will be time for questions from the audience so come prepared!
You will recieve one hour of CDE credit for attending.

Mason Borsch, DDS
Dr. Borsch is a general dentist and an alumnus of the University of Utah School of Dentistry. After his pre-doctoral education, he completed a one-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Utah School of Dentistry, where he oversees the clinical education of dental students in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and serves as the pre-doctoral OMFS clinic director. Originally from the mountains of Eastern Tennessee, Dr. Borsch is pleased to call the mountains of Utah home now. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking, fishing, and camping with his wife and two children.
Nate Chandler, DDS
Dr Nate Chandler, DDS graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1998, after attending the University of Utah as an undergraduate student. He began his dental career with the Indian Health Services as a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service. He was the Chief Dental Officer for Klamath Tribal Health in Chiloquin, Oregon from 1998-2003. In 2003 he purchased a private solo-practice in Sandy, Utah and relocated his family from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Draper, Utah. In 2018 he became a faculty member at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. He has held various roles while at the UUSOD. Including Group Practice Leader, Clinic Director of the Wakara Clinic, and OHAP Exception Committee-Chair. He has served on various committees while at the UUSOD, including the Admissions Committee, for several years. He continues practicing, as much as possible, in his (real-world) private practice. He is a 3-time recipient of the student selected, Outstanding Clinical Faculty Award. He has a strong love of Dentistry. Dr. Chandler is very passionate about clinical excellence, patient and practice management, and optimal clinical outcomes.
He has been happily married to his "Ride or Die" wife Kelli, for 35 years. Together they have raised 6 children, and welcomed their 10th grandchild into the world. Dr. Chandler is also very active in his community, church, and other organizations. He has successfully coached various sports, including High School Football at Corner Canyon High School. He's happy with a fly-rod (or sand-wedge) in his hand and loves all types of outdoor recreational activities.
Marilyn Sadler, DDS
Dr. Sadler is a third-generation Dentist. She has a very unique background having worked every position in the dental office from assistant, front office, hygienist and now Dentist. She truly understands the meaning of teamwork and loves her staff.
Although she was born and raised in Dentistry in North Dakota, it was during her village travel as a dental assistant in Bush, Alaska that led her to become a Dentist. She spent some time teaching dental assisting as well as being an adjunct dental hygiene instructor at Weber State University prior to graduating from the University of Utah as a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Since graduating from dental school, her career has taken many paths. She has practiced as an associate dentist, substitute dentist, public health dentist, volunteer dentist, and humanitarian dentist. She has also had the privilege of serving on the Utah DOPL Board.
Her journey has taught her that success is not always measured by whether life goes according to plan. Sometimes, it is measured by resilience—by continuing to serve, to care, to grow, and to move forward even when the path looks nothing like the one you imagined.

Madison Day, DDS
Madison Day is a Utah Native. She attended Southern Utah University for undergraduate and then the University of Utah School of Dentistry for her DDS. She completed a one year general practice residency at the Salt Lake VA. Madison is devoted to education and started guest lecturing the foundational sciences at the U of U SOD during her residency. The U of U hired her on to teach on the clinic floor in addition to lecturing in 2021 where she was able to work closely with students helping share her passion for dentistry. Dr. Day had to cut back her time at the U of U to just lecturing again in 2024 when she purchased a private practice in Millcreek Utah. Madison loves her office and her team and has learned a lot about entrepreneurship, tax planning, dental materials, and leadership in the last couple of years. Since graduating from the University of Utah School of Dentistry, Dr. Day has completed over 500 hours of continuing education to work towards her fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry and her Diplomate status with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She works with Clinician's Report to test dental supplies and materials. She is currently the Alumni President at the U of U SOD. She is a member of the UDA and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. She is passionate about educating her patients and team, she is dedicated to furthering her own education and skills, and she is a mentor to many people.
Dr. Day got married after her residency program and welcomed her baby boy Hank into the world 6 weeks prior to purchasing her practice. She strives to find happiness while juggling all that she is but remembers a quote she heard from Gail Miller, "There is no balance. Only shifting priorities."
